Power change seems to be pretty constant in Thailand's Hot Rod scene. Last update was a street legal dragster build with over 1.600 horsepower. This update shows a trend to a new Pro Street Hot Rod Style - still classic look but with much larger and more aggressive power blocks in.

The upside of such upgrades and trend is spending much more money while maintaining or dramatically improving performance, and we can't complain about it. It also gives unprecedented flexibility building a perfect Thai Hot Rod, should you have a little extra money available. We omit a few nice things such as Mark Williams rear end's and SONNY build racing engines that would otherwise fit in the budget because we feel that making them optional and up to individual builders works out better, plus such parts is quite in line with our goals of a high performance Pro Street Hot Rod Design.

American Classics style is still the hot rod of choice for general use, thanks to hundreds of international hot rod builders over past 50 years, but for real performance use it's easy to justify the extra expense, particularly given the extra cost on 800 - 1.200 horsepower engines for such a perfect street vehicle.

The compromise found in the aluminum fabrication and integration of other lightweight metals, compared to the more heavier steels is a lack of long-life applications with a much higher fuel consumption, and somewhat less consistent performance as a result in some applications. Building a hot rod or pro street rod from aluminum can help to reduce cost but still will impress with image and awesome speed on street.

T-6060 aluminum has its advantages and disadvantages as well, but for the average builder, we think saving the money by sticking with the t-6060 and a 600 hp engine is worth it. If the debate is between "fast driving" and "quick acceleration" the debate is more difficult. If you have the money to spend... why not. We leave it up to you.
